Today in the Celtic calendar is the Feast Day of the goddess Brigid or Bridget (later St. Bridget), it's known as Imbolc, and is celebrated at the start of February, and is the 'cross quarter day' mid point between the winter solstice and the spring equinox. Like the goddess herself, it's meant to give us hope, to remind us that spring is on its way. On my land there is an ancient stone circle with an alignment to the Imbolc sunset, it always gives me joy to see the sun setting in the sea after a long winter of it disappearing early behind the mountain.
