hi you all , I had a question if the walls of a bell are insulating like perlite /clay mixture and only the top is absorbing heat do i calculate the walls in the ISA? Or can i just take the ceiling of the chamber as the ISA + say 10% for heat loss true the insulation ex : for a 6" batch box ISA = 6sq m if build a tunnel walls 0.5 m hi perlite /clay opening between walls 0.5m lenght 10.9m .
kind regards , karl

Hi Karl, Yes, only calculate some for the heat loss when a wall or ceiling is made of insulating material. You are planning a large bench or something like that?

It is just an idea i had for heating several rooms with only 1 stove like 3 bedrooms put a seating along the wall to break the chill, making the wall of the bell with perlite /clay and waterglass put a brick in front , top the bench with big tiles and cob, so there would be heated seats in the room for the kids to sit on to studie
