I don't even know what to call this because I am not computer savvy. Is it possible to have an optional location tab added to our little profile/avatars when we post? There are people from all over the world on this site and I find it would be helpful.

Well, i'd say i'm not too keen!  Because bots gather informations from many sites. It's not confidential or else, but i'd rather not facilitate their work. Tho, you can write where you are in your signature. |

Bots or not,
I'll roast 'em atop the rocket! So anyone know why my samsung phone won't send video over certain size? Even my wife's iPad is not sending vid over 1 min long. What gives? Any takers with an answer?
But back to the question at hand, how does one add this info to the signature?

1. No, I send everything by text because that is the only way I can get pictures or video to send. (Cell phones suck. Let's go back to cans with strings.)
2. Profile, edit profile, on the top there will be a yellow Personal tab. Click it. Scroll down to the Signature box.
3. Awesome avatar. Where are you guys originally from up North?

P.S. In case anyone is interested - If you can find the text address for your Photobucket account, then you can send pictures to the account directly from your phone.

I think it's best to add that field. When somebody want to give away their location they are free to do so. On the other hand, it's easy to use Google Earth to define your location by longitude and latitude and add that to your sig. See mine, copy that formula into google maps or earth and you'll see where I live. The brand new house itself isn't there yet, we are waiting for new satellite pictures.

Hey Daryl,
I grew up out east on the north shore of Long Island(1/4 mile from Long Island Sound), with frequent trips to the Catskill Mountains family property. My wife is from Marion, Va. We live in Wytheville, Va., the hub of interstates 81 & 77. Love the Blue Ridge mtns! I have friends in Carlisle, Pa. Where bouts are y'all in NW Pa? My wife's brother lives in Cleveland. Are you close to the Ohio/Penn border?
I like this thread- our world draws in a little closer knowing the neighborhood stretches a few hours to across the Pond! It's a nice sense of community in this hectic time we exist in!

Wytheville, Va is a nice little town. I like to think of it as a little hub and a great jumping off point for adventures in the South. The Blue Ridge Mountains are spectacular.
I have lived throughout the East Coast, including PA, so I am familiar with Carlisle. I won't give my exact location but I am not far from Cleveland. My avatar is from Presque Isle Beach in Erie. Hope your wife's brother is doing ok with everything that is going on with the Lake.
