Somebody else noticed there are now 51 pages in the members list? Every page does carry 50 names, so 50 pages equals 2500 members. Together with 10 names on page 51 totals up to 2510 today!
Congrats Donkey!

Yep.. That's a LOT of members. For a little while there, we were getting something like 100 new members every week!!
Thanks, Peter.. Congrats to you to, mate!! Your work is a HUGE draw, better believe it!
One issue that we are facing now is that we've reached our attachment limit. We have to delete some old ones, reduce image sizes of existing ones (or both) or just settle with the fact that there will be no more uploading attachments directly to the fora..

Indeed, good work Donkey. Cheers to the dissemination of ideas!
I'll try to go back through my posts and remove superfluous attachments.

Congrats !! I'm new here, so I've been tryin to catch up...... Let me say that I can understand WHY the membership is growing !!!! The amount of knowledge here is mind blowing !!!! Kudos to everyone! By the way, I was lucky enough to find this forum by searching the web for Peter...I saw where he was the designer credited for the Dragon heaters . So, I agree with donkey , in regards to peterberg helping draw others.

Hello, I'm new this week too. I've been ghosting for a few months and decided to join so that I can see the attachments. I am overwhelmed with the information on this site, and I agree that Peter deserves so much credit for the hours, mind power, energy, and money that he has brought to bear on shoving this science/development forward. Hats off! Another forum that I have visited has similar purposes, but a dis-similar culture. I admire the helpfulness and patience with new adventurers that this forum has.
I started with Aprovecho Research on cooking with rocket stoves and had an initial thought of what to build...as I learned more, I expanded and modified...began learning about castable refractories...studied Ppotty 1's vertical feed batch box...began making the castables tested them today...learned how much Perlite is too much...and now am infatuated with Petersberg's horizontal feed batch stove...am I starting to get up to speed yet???
I will try not to do too much arm chairing and we will see what I can build

Keep up the good work. I appreciate that you don't allow much junk on here, unlike some other forums I could mention.

Ladies and gentlemen: today the forum opened up page 61 of the members list. Holding 50 names on each page that would mean the members list did grow to 3001 as of today.
In March this same year the counter has hit 2500. So 500 new members in 10 months, an average of about 1.6 a day. Sounds like a lot to me for a single theme forum.

this is the best forum i have come across for the tech stuff. i have been playing with stoves and gasifiers for years and last looked at rocket stoves about 2 or 3 years ago. since then i have been using a oil based system starting with roger sanders design and moving on to spikes design. this has worked really well, but i seem to have aquired rather a lot of used engine oil, to the dismay of my landlady, opps. NO MORE OIL was the message so as wood is acceptable i googled rocket stoves and here i am. thanks for all the really useful info on this forum.

In another 10 months the forum reached the next milestone. As of today, the members list is 3500 names long.
Exactly 2611 of them never wrote a post, that is just short of 75%. Just 25% of the members list has been active, 254 members of those posted once. On the other hand, 505 members posted more than twice so this 14.4285701 % could be called the active to very active base. One in seven, that's quite good.

Just less than two hours ago member number 4000 registered. This time, it did take a full year plus a couple of days to attract another 500 members since last time. Since the batchrocket site opened in March the growing pace of the forum slowed down quite a bit, but now it is picking up again.
Could be related to season's influence though.

As of today, the number of forum members is 4526. Probably a week ago or something like that it would be 4500, another milestone. This time, it took a year and a week(ish) to attract 500 members. Incidentally, it's about the same as last year, so we could safely say growing pace is quite steady.

At October 30th 2018, 1:43 hrs (GMT) forum member 5000 has been registered. It took just one year minus 13 days to attract 500 members this time. Growing pace is increased ever so slightly since last year. Not bad for a single theme forum, I'd think.
