Hello,
You can criticize the mold to make a rocket 177 concrete?
Thank you, Bernard

You can criticize the mold to make a rocket 177 concrete? I would think the right way to say is commenting, rather than criticizing. But oh well, I've opened the drawing and evaluated the mold. Some small niggles: one of them the length of the firebox. Is drawn as 400 mm, but could be 440 mm. By the way, making it even longer wouldn't hurt, the only effect would be a more aggressive burn due to a larger load of fuel. The port seems to be a bit narrow, this should be 54 mm. I would prefer a slightly wider port to be compliant to the width of the p-channel, in effect 56 mm. Corresponding height of the port would be 221 mm then. Not very important, what you have drawn is within a reasonable range of tolerances. When made like this, this stove would do what it says on the tin. N.B. I've seen stoves of this type which did collect some ashes left and right behind the port. This could be prevented by rounding off the sharp corner there.

Hi
I would think the right way to say is commenting, rather than criticizing. This is what I mean.
I'm not the author of this mold. Just a little change to flow easier as concrete here. I try to change the mold of your advice, but not easy for me (I discover the creation 3d sketchup).

Peter,
I edit a half-shell according to your advice. If you had a little time to look before I do the rest of work?
thank you Bernard.

bernardbon, The casting is the correct size and shape, but the p-channel isn't the right one for this stove. The sides of the steel rectangle should be still there, only the back of it, facing the riser, need to be cut away. There's a small niggle in the casting though. You need to use a steel tube of 60x20x2 mm, so both halfs of the casting need to provide at least 30 mm of space. In your drawing this is 28 mm, obviously too small.

Thank you Petersberg.
Here is the last work of a half-shell. Anyone know how to reverse the first half-shell shape to save work time?

Hi Bernard.
One question, where are you located? I'm on the italian border above Briançon.

Anyone know how to reverse the first half-shell shape to save work time? Yes, select the object, copy with ctrl-C and ctrl-V, right klick on the new object and select "Flip along group's ...". Depends on the orientation, but in your case it's blue. Edit: The drawing of the half casting is correct, p-channel as well.

SKP. ok. Now I have all the dimensions. The framework is in plywood, interior volumes are extruded polystyrene hot wire cut all assembled with screws. The refractory concrete that there will certainly www.prosiref-boutique.com/-3x--165--a.htm need three bags. See you soon, Bernard.

Bernard, if you want cheaper, you have the mapegrout from mapei. Usualy, you can find that at your local big mat, or similar.

Bernard, i've used mapegrout. Seems to do nicely. Given for 1200 c° I'm yet to see a crack in my workshop rocket. Tho, the burn tunel and feed tube are lined with half firebricks.

Satamax,
Our stove is the only means of heating our home. I think it's better to use products suitable for use for not too big surprise. Bernard,
