pinhead, That's analogue to my 4" experimental stove. This way, the top part of the feed tube is cooled by the incoming air. Very effective against fire creep in my case. In your opinion, does it have the same effect in your stove?

Pinhead, that's very clever. I wouldn't have visualized it that way, but seeing it all put together is makes very good sense. Thanks!

In your opinion, does it have the same effect in your stove? Yes, it made quite a large difference in reducing smoke-back and fire creep. It also allowed me to pack the fuel feed tighter -- since the added air helped keep the fuel burning -- with the resulting increase BTU/H from the added fuel.

That last one is also the same in my experience. The pulse mode, only possible to achieve with a tightly packed feed tube couldn't be invoked without the p-channel as well.

Pinhead, do you have the pictures from this thread uploaded to another site where I could view them?
Thanks.

Hmm I don't believe I do. I may have them backed up somewhere on one of my computers, though. Let me see if I can find them.

I wasn't able to locate them - I'm fairly certain I lost them when my external hard drive got fried by lightning.
What specific pics are y'all looking for? I still have the castings, though they've been sitting outside in the weather since I created this thread.

Hi Pinhead,
Just to clarify, neither pics nor links to pics are presently showing up in this thread. At least not for some viewers...

I believe they were flushed when attachments were purged a while ago to make room for newer attachments. I was unable to locate my copies (had a hard drive failure).
I think I still have some of the parts laying around somewhere, I'm not completely sure where, though. I'll try to get a pic if I can find 'em.

Sorry guys.. I dumped a bunch of attachments, tried to only kill the older stuff and less relevant stuff.. I might have dumped some of the WRONG stuff in the process.
