shilo, do you always use insulative materials for the firebox and riser? I'm asking because @yasintoda is getting 97% combustion efficiency without any insulation.

I was asking you even via facebook whether there are any hidden construction tricks, hacks or differences (in size, positioning, others ) in your setup in comparison to the standard batchbox. - - In some post you say there is no any difference. Would you confirm it now?
- - What would be the max bench piping length for a 15 cm system with
2 -90 deg and 1 -180 degree turns.? - - What diameter of it would you advise? (the chimney is 15 cm in diameter )
the only difference in construction between tall and short riser is that you need more draft from the chimney

I never go with no insulation but I understand that in some cases it can be an advance if your system is running too quickly and you want to feed it a lot

Does there exist any rules of a thumb for projecting it? BTW. I saw your last facebook film where you climb a roof to show a smokeless stack. I asked there what was the type of the firebox applied in the stove as there was no port visible on neither of the walls. Did you play with the DSR ?

the length is just like in tall riser systems the "no port" is a new experimentally concept that we don't sure about so i think it's better don't to publish yet. we played very little with the DSR

OK. Considering the above statement: A six inch system with a ceramic batch box and shorter than standard ceramic riser at 36 inches plus a 25 foot insulated chimney draft shouldn't be an issue. Correct?
By insulated chimney, I mean a masonry chimney at the center of the house with stove pipe run down it with perlite or vermiculite between the stove pipe and the chimney walls. The chimney I.D. looks to be 9 x 13 inches.
No benches involved. More of a masonry stove design with bell areas and some channels. As long as there are no constrictions in the channels I should be good to go. Speaking of constrictions, all passageways after the riser exhaust should be what? 1.5 times system size? Or just equal to riser csa?
