What i am wanting is a stove set-up in a 210kg cylinder. I'd like a fire box and 6in Riser, both of which would be insulated by isowool inside a 210kg Cylinder. ideally the firebox door would have a piece of fire glass in it. and the flue would again be insulated inside the cylinder but extend for 1.5m above the height of the cylinder. Does anyone see any problems with this idea? Regards, Time. Attachments:

Looks a lot like Matthewwalker's stoves - though his are square instead of round.
Geting enough insulation around the heat riser will be your biggest challenge.
If you can get the dimensions to work out, it should be an excellent "instant-heat" stove.

i like the idea!
my thought would be a feul oil tank(oval 150gal?) on end. build the core riser out of brick, in place on the severed end/floor. then lower the rest of the tank over it and seal. i bet that would be a great shop heater.
nice
