I have to chose a side of the house where my exhaust will exit the building
The side that I prefer has has a very high vertical wall. In case a horizontal exhaust won't work, I will need to try a vertical exhaust.
But I will never be able to put this exhaust above the top of the roof, so it will have to be next to the wall.
Building regulations forbid this, but that is only because of safety reasons (for normal woodstoves) , or could it cause an airflow directing wind into the exhaust?

In my opinion it has to go above the roof if you want it to work reliably.

Yep, wall exhausts are doomed!
